Street Light in Snow

Eudora News and

Unless you’ve been under a rock or never turned on a TV or listened to a radio station in the last 4 days, you wont be surprised that we are now officially under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 AM Thursday morning.

The National Weather service continues to predict a total accumulation of 2 -4 inches of snow for the Eudora area starting after midnight tonight.  The snow is supposed to end by 9 AM.

Winds are expected to be between 25 and 40 mph with gusts near 50 mph.  Windy conditions will make for much blowing and drifting during the morning commute.  Travel after midnight and into the early morning hours is being describes as “difficult and potentially dangerous.

As with the first snow of every winter season, try to take it easy out there if you are headed out in what could be very poor conditions.

Now, if we make it through the two inch blizzard that we are supposed to get on Thursday, we saw somewhere that the temperature is expected to rise as we head towards the weekend.

Thank you Mayans. We appreciate the warming trend.  🙂
