Don’t hate the messenger…..

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday evening through late Monday night.

“Winter Storm Rocky” looks like it might be packing a punch. (Start humming the Rocky music here).  A mixture of rain, freezing rain and snow could develop Sunday night, turning to all snow Monday and lasting into Monday night. The snow is expected to diminish by Tuesday morning.

The snowfall potential is six inches with up to a tenth of an inch of ice from the freezing rain.

At post time, the watch covers much of Eastern and Central Kansas.

As of right now, this is just a watch. We will keep you posted as we go through the weekend and the forecast becomes a little clearer. We will also keep you posted on any possible cancellations that might occur if Rocky fights his way into Eudora. Round 2 begins now.
