Richard Labahn of Lawrence was hired in February as the city’s newest police officer.
March 13, 1968, 45 years ago
Mrs. Belle Dawson of Richmond, Missouri returned to her home after an extended visit with her sister, Mrs. Ora Neis of Weaver.
March 21, 1931, 82 years ago
A snow which began falling here last Friday night continued all day Saturday. The snow was driven by a high wind and blocked the low places in the roads and highways and traffic was at a stand-still until Monday afternoon. The snow measured about 10 inches on the level.
