January 5, 1994, 20 years ago

Eudora High School Senior Aaron Lana was among 30 young people from Kansas’ Third Congressional District, who received nominations to the United States Air Force, Military, Naval, and Merchant Marine Academies for the classes entering in 1994.


January 5, 1939, 75 years ago

Carl Gerstenberger lost fourteen sheep Tuesday night when a dog or dogs got into the pen and killed them. The sheep were penned near the house, but no one heard the disturbance.


January 8, 1914, 100 years ago

The Eudora High School basketball team suffered a bad defeat last Wednesday at the hands of the Y.M.C.A. Cardinals of Kaw Valley. The score was Eudora 26, Cardinals 57. The game was played on the Y.M.C.A. court in Lawrence.
