August 6, 1954, 58 years ago

About 2,500 people attended the CPA picnic while it rained. Some people left, but others stayed and danced in bare feet with the entertainers who volunteered to stay without getting a prize. The rain rose to about four inches deep in some areas.


August 6, 1975, 37 years ago

The Eudora News reported that Veterinarian Ron Lee moved to Eudora to open an animal hospital for the first time.


August 7, 1996, 16 years ago

Working for her Ph.D. as a student at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Susan Larson who was a graduate in the class of 1980 at Eudora High, was nominated for being the “Outstanding Nurse Educator of 1996.” She earned the Nurse Educator Award at Mid America Nazarene College.
