Tornado activity appears to have moved into Missouri. These are centered on the east and north sides of Kansas City.
Again, we urge you to monitor Kansas City media if you have family or friends in the Kansas City area at the moment.
It appears that Kansas City Kansas and Downtown Kansas City, MO are seeing tornadic activity. The funnels seem to be briefly touching down and then leaving the ground quickly.

AT 1116 AM CDT… LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS REPORTING A TORNADO ON THE GROUND NEAR 132ND AND METCALF. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES WEST OF BELTON… MOVING NORTH AT 25 MPH.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE… LEAWOOD… OVERLAND PARK… PRAIRIE VILLAGE… MISSION HILLS… FAIRWAY… MISSION AND MERRIAM.
THIS WILL IMPACT I-435 LOOP FROM MILE MARKERS 67 TO 80.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado WARNING for Johnson County until Noon. There is no reported tornado on the ground.
Initial reports of clouds with rotation are in the Kansas City area. One of the locations we heard mentioned is the 150th & Metcalf area. Louisburg, KS has also reported wind damage, mainly to cars and trees. So far, there are no reports of building damage.
We urge those with family members in the area, to monitor reports from Kansas City TV and radio for latest up to the minute information.
