Thanksgiving Day

On behalf of all the staff of Eudorareporter.com, we would like to extend our best wishes to all on this Thanksgiving Day.

We are extremely grateful to each and every one of you that read Eudorareporter.com on a regular basis. We are here to serve you, the public, and keep you up to date on news and events happening in our fair city.

We would like to take the time to thank some of those individuals who, in one way or another, keep our city running:

City Administrator John Harrenstein, Mayor Scott Hopson, City Council members Ruth Hughs, Maria Nelson, Jeff Petterson, Tim Reazin and Bill Whitten. We also wish to thank Police Chief Grady Walker and Fire Chief Chris Moore.  Thanks also to City Clerk Donna Oleson, all the office support staff and all employees of the City of Eudora.

We would like to thank Eudora School District Superintendent Don Grosdidier, Board members Mark Chrislip, Nancy Jackson, Mike Kelso, Kenny Massey, Joe Pyle, Belinda Rehmer, and Eric Votaw. We also wish to commend the staff, teachers and support personnel of USD 491 for their help in educating the young citizens of the city.

Another warm thank you goes to all the pastors of the area churches in town. Rev Glenn H. Weld, Rev. Lane Bailey, Rev. Kevin Wood, Rev. Michael Tomson-DeGreeff, Rev. Phillip Scott, Rev. Darin Kearns, Rev. Rodney Nitz and Fr. Pat Riley. Without the spiritual guidance all of these fine individuals bring to us, Eudora would not be the great city it is.

We would like to thank all the businesses of Eudora. Many of them could have better opportunities in bigger communities and they chose to locate here in Eudora. We would like to especially thank the fine sponsors of Eudorareporter.com: Black Cat Cafe, DaySpring Electric, Heads or Nails Family Salon, Holiday Hill Christmas Trees, Medicalodges Eudora and Sydney the Wonder Dog. We also appreciate all those who have expressed interest and are currently working with us to help support our web site. Please support all of Eudora’s local businesses.  They are our lifeblood.

One other  business we would like to thank is Mike Means and Eclectic-resources.net. They helped us with the initial design of the website. Even though they are not a Eudora business, they are impressed with our community and we encourage using them for any website design needs you may have.

Finally, a couple personal notes of thanks here: To the staff of www.bounceradio.net, where the world listens to internet radio. This is our sister organization. With out the many fine individuals from around the world who are on the air and help support it, the station would not be as great as it is. Several of that staff helped us to launch Eudora Reporter.

Most importantly, I would like to thank my wife, Madalyn for her kind support and help with making Eudorareporter.com possible. She’s the one who has to listen to me rattle on many times about the joys and troubles of keeping this site going. She has been instrumental in assistance with sales and day to day operations. Thank you.

Again, thanks to all the citizens of Eudora. Each and every one of you make Eudora such a special town in your individual ways.

This site evolved for you. We plan on bring you the news and information that matters most to residents, friends, and those that care about our wonderful city for a long time to come. May God bless all of you on this day of giving thanks.
