The Kansas Department of Transportation will meet tonight with representatives from the cities along the K-10 corridor to discuss the possibilities of improving roadway safety on K-10. The meeting will take place at the Eudora Recreation Center at 5:00PM and is not open to the public.

The group that formed the Facebook page supporting cable barriers in the median of K-10, will hold a candlelight vigil outside the Rec Center during the meeting.  According to the Facebook page, the group wants to make sure KDOT officials are aware of the public’s support for this issue.

People who plan on attending this vigil should plan on bringing their own candles and possibly some rain gear as isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for this evening.
