Students, parents and supporters of Cardinal football attended a pep rally at Eudora High School Friday afternoon to root on the team to victory later on in the day.

The Dance team along with the cheerleaders rallied the assembled crowd in anticipation of tonight’s contest between the Cardinals and the Paola Panthers.

A large crowd is expected for the game this evening and those attending the event are encouraged to arrive early so they can get to their seats prior to game time.

Gregg Webb, Head Coach of the Eudora Cardinals spoke to the audience and thanked them for traveling to Chanute for last weeks game and urged everyone to make sure to be at Eudora District stadium this evening.

The game starts at 7:00 PM.  If you are unable to attend the game you can listen to it via the internet.  The game will be broadcast by the Paola radio station KWJP 89.7 FM. You can go to  and click on the eagle on the radio to go to the live stream page.  They radio station also has a phone app on Tune-in. Download Tune-in and type in KWJP 89.7 to tune in.  Knology’s Channel 6 in Lawrence will air the game on a tape delay basis starting at 10:30 p.m Friday evening.

The winner of this game will head to the 4A State Championship Saturday November 26th in Salina. It would be Eudora’s first trip to the championship game in it’s history.

You can definitely see that football ranks among the interest of many students and families in Eudora.

As the players got ready to head off to Chanute for their playoff game against the Chanute Blue Comets tonight, hundreds of students lined the hallways and sidewalks leading to the team buses to send them off in style.

The game tonight in Chanute starts at 7:00 PM.  For those unable to make it down to Chanute for the game you can follow it online at: The Ustream broadcast will start at 6:55PM on Friday.
