Trisha Tyree of Eudora has been named Miss Kansas Speedway 2011. Tyree will by an ambassador for all the races coming to the Kansas Speedway this year including both NASCAR races scheduled for 2011.

Tyree will also now be competing in the Miss Motor Speedway Competition March 18 and 19 in Somerset, Kentucky. This pageant will pit Speedway queens from around the country in a bid to be named Miss Motor Speedway.

The National Miss Motor Speedway will travel to events and races around the country to promote volunteerism in communities and the organization’s Princess “4” a Day program. This  program is a not for profit program that builds self esteem in girls and help children in need.

“I think it will be definitely be an amazing opportunity to win Miss National Motor Speedway and travel around the United States promoting Princess “4” a day. The organization really does great things for little girls. It would be thrilling to participate in that” Tyree said.  “I’m really nervous about the competition and at the same time excited. This will be an amazing experience to represent the Kansas Motor Speedway.”

Tyree did not follow the normal pattern of young beauties who compete in pageants and contests starting at a very young age. “I didn’t start doing this until I turned 18. It was to do something different to get out of my box. Now it’s almost a passion. It motivates me to work hard and stay fit.”

Tyree also hopes to compete in the Miss Kansas USA pageant later on this year and represent her home state of Kansas once  again on a national level.
