K-10 safety commission

This afternoon, KDOT and the K-10 Safety Commission will once again meet at the Eudora Rec Center. We have had several inquiries about this meeting as some Kansas City media outlets are reporting that this meeting is a public forum and the public is invited to attend.
According to Clay Adams, District Engineer for KDOT this is not completely accurate.
“While we will not bar the public from attending this meeting, since it’s a public meeting in a public place, this is a normal committee meeting and not a public forum meeting.” Adams stated.
The three previous meetings of the Commission have been closed to the public.
The K-10 Safety Commission was order by Governor Sam Brownback in response to several crossover accidents that have occurred on the K-10 corridor between Lawrence and Kansas City in the last couple of years.
Eudorareporter.com will be providing coverage of the meeting and have details of all the pertinent information.
