Eudora News & Information

If you’re like most of us, you’ve got things you no longer need or use hanging around in your garage, your attic or your basement.  Now is the perfect time to sort through it and make plans to sell those gently-used items at the Eudora Parks & Recreation Multi-Family and Friends Garage/Rummage Sale on February 7.  You can also sell your art, handmade crafts and baked goods at this sale.

Anyone interested in selling items may rent 8-foot tables for just $10.00 each, but space is limited so stop in the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm Street, or call 542-3434 as soon as possible.  The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, February 7, at the Eudora Community Center.

Even if you don’t have items to sell, you’re invited to come shop.  Someone else’s junk may be just the treasure you’re looking for!  Don’t miss this big sale!

With the Christmas holiday season here, it’s time for city wide holiday events.

The Eudora Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an annual Holiday Extravaganza. This party will be on Saturday December 4 at the Eudora Community Center at 1630 Elm Street. The Eudora High School Choir will be performing and Santa Claus will also be on hand. Children will be able to get their picture taken with Santa. Carriage rides and possibly a sleigh will be on site too for picture opportunities.

An auction of trees, donated and decorated by local businesses will also take place. These trees have been placed around local Eudora establishments prior to the auction. The highest bidder for each of the trees will be taking home one or more this weekend.

All proceeds from the Holiday Extravaganza will benefit Community Living Opportunities (CLO) based in Lawrence, KS. CLO helps adults and children with severe developmental disabilities achieve personally satisfying and fulfilling lifestyles. CLO operates Midnight Farm which is located just south of Eudora.
