The Eudora Police Department has released their call volume list for the month of August.
As it seems to be the case for the last several months, building checks leads the list as the most frequent activity of Eudora Police. Car stops comes in a distant second. Directing Traffic/Traffic enforcement, while in the single digits, took a big leap, partly due to the accident on K-10 involving the cement truck and other accidents that forced a large volume of traffic through Eudora on the afternoon and evening of August, 26.

In an effort to be more transparent with the City Council and the citizens of Eudora, the Eudora Police Department has started compiling monthly counts of all the calls the department handles.
In the month of April alone, the Police Department handled 1030 calls. These were for a variety of different activities from disturbance calls (10), to medical emergencies (16), to noise complaints (3).
If you guessed car stops as being the number one activity on the list, you would be mistaken. That came in at number two(116). The one type of call that the police spent the most time handling was Building/Residence checks (643).
