With very comfortable temperatures the annual CPA Picnic is in full swing in downtown Eudora.  Friday night is traditionally children’s night and is highlighted by the Children’s Parade down Main Street.  Several dozen children took part in this years parade powered by a variety of non car or truck vehicles. Many were on bicycles, in wagons or even a psychedelic 70’s style cart.

Many children also enjoyed the carnival rides set up across from CPA park at 9th and Main Streets.  Parents brought the kids to come sample the small town carnival atmosphere that you so rarely find in the days of big multi-million dollar theme parks.

While it may not be Disneyland, there is plenty for young and old alike.  The CPA Picnic can bring out the kid in us all.

The CPA Picnic will wrap up Saturday evening with more fun and games for all.  The Grand Parade will start at 7:00 PM from the old Laws Field parking lot culminating in Downtown Eudora.  Musical entertainment will be American Idol contestant and Eudora native Wolf Hamlin. Hamlin takes the stage at the CPA Park Gazebo at 8:00 PM.
