All Night Prom

The EHS All-Night Prom committee is looking for assistance from the public to help fund the annual All-Night Prom event.  This is an after-prom program that has taken place in Eudora for more than 20 years.  Parent volunteers put on the event for EHS students, in an effort to keep them safe and off the streets after the school’s prom. Parents host a lock-in from 1 a.m. to approximately 6 a.m. and keep the students entertained with games, food and prizes during that time.

Again this year, the All Night Prom Committee is selling chances to win a half of beef (Angus), donated this year by Gabriel Farms of Eudora.  Tickets for this will be on sale until the end of May with the winner being drawn of May 31.  The winner will receive their prize in late July after the processing is completed by Steve’s Meat Market in De Soto. Steve’s is also donating their services to this event.  To purchase tickets, please contact Theresa Abel at Eudora High School 785-542-4986 or e-mail her at theresaabel@eudoraschools.org.

Also this year, a full-size quilt (84″x84″) is also available through silent auction. The current bid (at post time) is $85. Bids will be taken through April 13, with the quilt going to the highest bidder.

Those interested can also keep track of the bids in the “What’s New” section of the EHS 9-12 Web page at http://www.eudoraschools.org/vnews/display.v/SEC/Grades%209-12.
E-mail theresaabel@eudoraschools.org with a quilt bid (in $5 increments, please) and a contact phone number, to get added to the quilt list.

Tickets are $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.  Checks can be made payable to: EHS All-Night Prom.   To purchase tickets, please contact Theresa Abel at Eudora High School 785-542-4986 or e-mail her at theresaabel@eudoraschools.org.

Eudora High School Juniors and Seniors are making plans now for their formal Prom on April 16th. As a gift from the parents, the students have another event to attend after Prom- the All Night Prom (ANP). After prom, students have one hour to get out of their formal clothes and back to the middle school in shorts and t-shirts for a night of crazy fun!
ANP is a safe and fun way to keep students off the streets after prom. Over 200 Eudora High School prom attendees and their dates will be willingly locked up in the school gym for a night they will never forget.
The ANP parents keep the theme a secret from the students until they walk into the school! From that point, students will play on extreme games, experience game challenges with fellow class mates and have lots of food- fitting with the theme to enjoy! At approximately 5:30 a.m. students will go home with a bag of prizes just as the sun comes up!
The parents of these great students are asking for your help! To raise money, we are selling tickets for a chance to win a side of beef (donated by Mark &Dana Neis with processing donated by Steve’s Meat Market & ANP), sending letters to area businesses asking for their support in donations and accepting donations from local residents. Over the years, the community has been so supportive and generous to ANP. The parents are very appreciative of the community’s generosity!
If anyone would like to purchase a ticket or donate, please email Theresa Abel theresaabel@eudoraschools.org or Sandy Huddleston at sandy@sunflower.com , or call Beverly Gadberry at 913-907-4883 to answer any questions. Tickets are $5.00 each or $20.00 for 5 tickets.

The 2011 EHS All-Night Prom committee is selling chances to win a half of beef, (donated by Eudora farm family Mark and Dana Neis) as a way to raise funds for the all-night prom event.

This is an after-prom event that has taken place in Eudora for more than 20 years. The idea is to provide a fun, safe environment full of games, food and entertainment for our students and their guests after prom, which is April 16.

The beef winner will be drawn at the end of May. However, the beef will not be ready until some time in late fall. The processing is also donated (by Steve¹s Meat Market in De Soto), so it won’t cost the winner anything!
