April is National Autism Awareness Month and to celebrate and raise funds for the Eudora Autism Community Education and Support Society (A.C.E.S.), the group is hold their second annual Annual Autism Walk this Saturday downtown.

The walk will begin at 2:00 PM at the gazebo in CPA Park and head north to City Hall and back to CPA Park.  There will also be plenty of things to do in the park as well.

The Eudora Township Fire Department will have a jump house in the park along with the fire truck for kids to tour.  The Township Fire Department will also be selling plates of BBQ.

Other local businesses have pitched in to help including Cami’s Cake Company who will be selling special Autism Awareness cupcakes with all the proceeds going to the Eudora A.C.E.S group.

There will be chances for sale on items donated from The Filling Station, Hair Nail & Tanning Company,  Rebel Roxie Rose and pool passes from the Eudora Parks and Rec Department.

There is no fee to participate in the walk.  For more information about the walk, you can contact Jacqui Folks at 785-787-0379.

Another way to honor Autism Awareness month is by putting a blue light on your house. You will see many blue lights at residences all around the city including City Hall and strung across Main Street downtown.
