The Eudora Area Historical Society will have its January Program and meeting on Thursday, January 15th at 7:00pm at Eudora City Hall (4 East 7th Street)
Eudora resident Mark Lauber (son of Dr. Leo Lauber) will deliver the January program, titled “Eudora’s Inventor and Visionary: Dr. Leo Lauber.” Dr. Lauber moved to Eudora in 1959 and worked as a chiropractor in the community until 1976. In 1975 he founded Orthopedic Casting Laboratory Inc. (OCL), a company that produced splints and casts. One of the most popular products invented by OCL was the “OCL Splint Roll.” The OCL Splint Roll was sold all over the nation, making OCL Inc. extremely profitable. In addition to being a successful businessman and chiropractor, Dr. Lauber proved to be an important visionary for the community as well. Dr. Lauber was the driving force behind the creation of the Intech Business Park on the east-side of Eudora in the 1980s. The Intech Business Park has helped attract many new businesses and residents to Eudora in past several decades. Learn about the tremendous impact Dr. Lauber had on the Eudora community at our January Program.
This program is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
