A 60-year-old man was injured Wednesday morning in a motorcycle accident after exiting Kansas Highway 10 in Eudora.

Sgt. Steve Lewis, a Douglas County Sheriff’s spokesman, said about 11:15 a.m. Mike Van Dyke was exiting the westbound lanes of K-10 on his motorcycle at Church Street in Eudora when he entered the south lane and struck a car driven by 48-year-old Kim Bridges.

Van Dyke was taken by ground ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday evening.

  • Look out. Another wreck on k-10. Better blame it on a cross over.

  • L.B.J. must stand for “Little Brain Juice” .. I will be the first to say that the description of how this accident happened makes little to no sense, but there is absolutely no mention of a “cross over.”

  • First off Mike is a friend and i hope he is ok.
It sounds as if he was returning from east of Eudora on K-10 and might have pulled onto Church street and got hit , dont know for sure.
30 mph speed limit, but cars on Church street run 50 mph and if he pulled out and a car was going 50 , he wouldnt stand a chance.
