To all the readers of Eudorareporter.com, I owe you a big apology. For the last couple of weeks you may have noticed (and many of you have) the lack of stories on this site. A multitude of things have been occurring that has prevented me from taking the time to write and publish stories. While I don’t want to bore you with all the details, much of it involves a very severe case of bronchitis which I’m still not healed from completely, a large amount of time spent working at me full time job (yes, Eudorareporter.com is a very full-time part-time job but I don’t make enough money to pay all the bills), a couple of very important charity projects I have been a part of, some family medical issues and lastly, a fair amount of burn-out keeping this site going. Add into that some server issues which seem to have finally gotten resolved and it adds up to not enough hours in the day or me to go around.
When this site started three years ago, my commitment was to help inform readers of what is going on in and around town. Simply, I have not kept that commitment in the last few weeks and I apologize. A lot goes into this site, and I simply haven’t been able to keep up. My hope is to add a couple of staff members very soon to help ease the burden and bring you the news and information about Eudora that you thirst for. I want to continue this site and continue to bring you the vital happenings around town.
We are redoubling our efforts and working on ways to balance bringing you the news and information and making sure to have enough time to do what we need to do. Along that line, I am looking for some staff that can help out in various aspects of reporting. Reporters need to have some writing skills. Any journalistic background is welcomed, though it’s not required. We can teach you the basics of reporting and how to be fair and objective to produce stories. These are paid positions. You can send inquiries and writing samples to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
