A chill in the air did not stop many from venturing into downtown Eudora Saturday morning for the 17th annual Eudorafest. Cooler conditions made for brisk sales of coffee and hot chocolate Saturday morning. Festival goers found many arts, crafts and food available for purchase from local artisans and business people. Several vendors reported good sales early in the day.
The car show seemed to garnering some interest too as a vintage 60’s Batmobile from the TV show Batman was on display.
Activities continued throughout the day including a new feature to this year’s event, a “Moonshine Run”. While we doubt it is the first time in history the some “shine” made it’s way at high speed down Main Street Eudora, contestants worked hard to not spill any of the faux alcohol in an attempt to win prizes. Musical acts also played on the stage on 8th street next to CPA Park.
For the first year in a long time, vendor attendance was up and the crowds seemed interested in all the booths had to offer. There was no sign of Batman present, even though his ride was nearby the festivities.
