If you have ever wanted to learn one of the true martial arts, you will soon have your chance.
The Eudora Parks and Recreation Department will soon be offering classes in Kung Fu for both adults and children.
Instructor Bryan Peterson started learning Chinese martial arts 25 years ago. Peterson lived in Japan and China for 16 years, practicing the martial arts every day.
Peterson, who not only learned the martial arts, but the languages and cultures of both countries, will be teaching the Northern (Chang Quan) and Southern (Nan Quan) style Kung Fu.
The cost of the program is $6 per class or you can sign up for the entire session and receive a discount on the total package. Classes will begin on Monday April 30 at the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm Street. Classes for children will be on Monday and Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM with the teens and adult classes running from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM also on Mondays and Tuesdays.
