The Blizzard of the Month for the Dairy Queen in Eudora is charbroiled.

Multiple units were called to the scene of a structure fire at the Dairy Queen located at 15th and Church Street in Eudora early this morning.

Eudora police are reporting that the a machine used to heat dipping cone flavors was left on overnight and overheated causing the fire.  No one was in the building at the time of the fire.

Eudora Police Chief Grady Walker describes the interior of the building as “a total loss.”

  • Wow that is terrible. When I worked at the nursing home there I frequently visited that place. I sure hope the owner will rebuild.

  • Oh man this is sad! We were leaving town about 8 am and saw police there, but didn’t see any fire or fire fighters. I’m glad no one was hurt!

  • I work here, Steve (the owner) is going to rebuild and he is saying that it’s going to take a few months but we are definitely reopening!
