Eudora News and Information

For those that purchased real Christmas trees and are looking to discard them, there is a good option.

During the month of January, Eudora city work crews will follow the days and routes that Honey Creek disposal uses for trash delivery, and pick up Christmas trees left by the curb. The city crews will then deposit those trees at the city compost pile located near the river.

So, if trash day is normally Tuesday for you, make sure your tree is out by the curb on a Tuesday.

Kevin Weldon of Honey Creek Creek Disposal also is offering to pick up any left over wrapping paper and used Christmas boxes. If you place a box with this type of material next to the standard cart bin this week, Honey Creek will pick up the box, free of charge. No prepaid sticker will be required this week for this box.

One Response to Eudora Information – O Christmas Tree

  • Honey Creek is happy to help residents through the holiday season the week after Christmas. We do ask that all trash outside their carts be properly bagged for collection. We also appreciate residents recycling items that may be re-used. Have a safe and happy holiday.
