Topeka West HS Jr. ROTC presents the colors prior to the game

Eudora District Stadium was all abuzz on Friday night. As part of the EHS football game festivities, EHS honored veterans past and present at a halftime ceremony. Boomer Mays led the team onto the field waving the red, white and blue.

Veterans from multiple wars were led onto the field at halftime while the EHS marching band played the themes from all branches of the military.

Also, as part of the festivities, three planes flew over the stadium prior to kickoff in the missing man formation to honor those who had fallen in the line of duty.

The Eudora High Cardinals went on to handle duties on the field and defeat Ottawa 49-0 bringing their overall record to 6-2 and tied for third in the Frontier League at 3-2.  Next up for the Cardinals, The Baldwin Bulldogs come to town on Thursday evening. Game time is 7:00PM.
