Casa Agave set to open next week

Eudora is about to gain an additional eating establishment. Casa Agave Mexican Restaurant and Grill is expected to open up sometime mid week according to owner and manager Javier Segoviano. The exact opening day has not yet been determined Segoviano told us, due to a couple of issues that need to be worked out yet.
“We will be offering a wide variety of things on our menu,” Segoviano said. “Not only will we have traditional Mexican fare, but we will also have hamburgers to steaks and a whole bunch of different items.”
Casa Agave Mexican Restaurant is located at 10th and Locust Streets in the location previously occupied by Annabelle’s Restaurant.
This is the second restaurant for Segoviano. The original location, which is still in operation, is on Metropolitan Street in Leavenworth.
“We are family owned and managed,” Segoviano added. “We will also offer excellent service.”
Segoviano stated that the hours will be 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Eudora Baptist Church to hold pot luck dinner

On Saturday February 25 at 6:00 PM, the Eudora Baptist Church will be hosting their annual “Beast Feast” wildlife potluck dinner. The cost of the buffet style dinner is free and open to anyone.
Vendor tables will be set up so patrons can meet local business owners that are in the outdoors and shooting industry. Door prizes will also be offered from the attending vendors.
The church is also bring in Outdoorsman Casey Ingold as a guest speaker. Rev. Ingold is the pastor of Covenant Baptist Church in Topeka and is an avid outdoorsman who will bring insights and experiences in a variety of areas.
Eudora Baptist Church is located on 20th Street, just west of Church Street.
