The Cardinals ended their regular season with a shutout victory over the Bladwin Bulldogs 20-0 at Eudora District Stadium.

The first half was a defensive battle with Eudora finally getting on the board with less than a minute remaining in the first half.  The Cards went up 6-0 when Senior Gabe Cleveland scored from 5 yards out.  A missed extra point kept it 6-0 heading into the locker room at the half.

Play was back and forth in the third quarter with Eudora finding the end zone midway through the third quarter on a two yard run by Andrew Ballock.  The Cardinals then failed to on a two point conversion attempt.

In the fourth quarter, with about 5 minutes left to go in the game, Eudora’s  Markis Hill tore off a 71-yard run to put the icing on the cake for the Cardinals.  Once again, the Cardinals went for two and Ballock was successful in finding the end zone.

The win gives the Cardinals their 2nd straight Frontier league title and will host De Soto Tuesday night in the first round of the playoffs.
