Eudora News and

The 2011-2012 school year is about to begin and the Eudora Public Schools are gearing up for a great year. To make sure all families with students attending the Eudora Public schools are ready to go, the district is holding, Cardinal Craze the “one stop registration shop” that feels like a festival.

The event will take place at the Eudora High School commons area (2203 Church Street) twice in August. The first day is Thursday August 4th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the second day is Monday August 8th from Noon until 8 p.m. It’s an event designed to make registration easy and stress free. Representatives from all of the important district offices will be on hand to answer questions and provide direction.

At Carnival Craze parents will be able to enroll students and pay fees, sign up for district bus or shuttle service, deposit money in student lunch accounts, register for after-school programs, pick up school menus, purchase new Eudora spirit apparel and get school forms notarized. Kids can enjoy special activities

Parents are encouraged to check for more information and to download important forms. Having the necessary paperwork completed before you come could save time. Parents are reminded to bring their checkbooks or cash and immunizations records of the students they are registering. They will also want to bring parent or guardian drivers license for the notary and basic financial information if applying for free or reduced lunch and/or fee waivers.

Families from outside of the Eudora District boundary who wish to attend a Eudora school must have permission from the building principal and fill out the out of district application fee before official enrollment can begin.

School supply lists and the official calendar are also on-line but can also be picked up at Cardinal Craze. For families struggling to purchase school supplies, the Family Resource Center can help. Call them at 785-542-4903.
