The Eudora chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority will hold it’s annual auction to benefit various Eudora charities on Sunday, November 11. The fundraiser will begin at 3:00 PM at the Eudora Rec Center.
The non-academic sorority will be auctioning off crafts, homemade goodies, local donations and baskets. The auction is open to anyone and proceeds from the auction have gone to support the Lion’s Club, the local food pantry and local families who are in need due to extenuating circumstances. Refreshments will be served as well. This is the 5th Annual auction the chapter has held in Eudora.
Beta Sigma Phi is a social and cultural organization that incorporates service as part of its activities. The organization was founded in 1931 in Abilene, KS to bring women together and expose them to a social, cultural and educational climate that was not available in those difficult times.
Today, nationally and internationally, the sorority donates more than $3 million per year and over 200,000 volunteer hours to various charities.
