The Eudora A.C.E.S. group will hold their 4th Annual Autism Awareness walk this Saturday starting at 1:00 PM.  As has been in the past, Cami’s Cake Co. and the Eudora Township Fire Department are the sponsors of the event.

Again this year, Cami’s Cake Co. will be open and donate proceeds of cupcake sales to the A.C.E.S group. The Township Fire Department will also again provide a jump house and BBQ with all proceeds going to the group.  New to the event this year, Home Depot will be on location with a kids creation activity tent. Children will be able to build simple projects with the help of Home Depot staff for free.

Several notable items will be available in a drawing as well.  Tickets to the Royals, T-Bones, the KC Renaissance Festival, along with several Eudora business items and gift certificates will be given away.

Mayor Ruth Hughs will be hand to proclaim April as Autism Awareness month in Eudora.

All events will be in downtown and centered near CPA Park. The BBQ and various activities start at 1:00 PM with the actual walk starting at 2:00 PM. The event is expected to last until 3:00 PM.
