With a one day delay due to weather, the 2013 Eudora High School King and Queen were announced at Halftime of the Eudora High football game.
Candidates for this Queen were Brooke Abel, Kelsey Balluch, Alyssa Blaisdell and Kennedy O’Dell. King candidates were Andrew Ballock, J.T. Howell, Eric Rogers and Ryan McCabe.
After a presentation on the field of all the candidates, the moment the crowd waited for was finally announced.
Eric Rogers and Alyssa Blaisdell were crowned the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen.
“It’s a great honor and I’m glad the student body honored me with the title of King,” Rogers said following the game. “It’s a very respectful honor and I really appreciate everyone’s vote.”
Homecoming Alyssa Blaisdell was just as honored by the student support.
“This was so surprising and I am just extremely happy,” Blaisdell said following the coronation. “The support of the student body was wonderful. I feel very honored.”
The crowd watched as the Cardinals went on to defeat the Spring Hill Broncos 35-7 at Eudora District Stadium.
